The 2011 UCP Halloween Party for Kids with special needs and their families was a huge success with over 250 people in attendance. Games, crafts, treats, and a professional ventriloquist greeted the crowd. It was a great opportunity for families to get together and children to enjoy games and entertainment in an accessible and safe area. Thanks to the St. Cloud Optimist Club along with many other contributors and volunteers who help to make this event an entertaining and fun night out.
It wasn't easy but the 30th Annual UCP Golf Tournament was high and dry on Monday, June 20th. Despite clouds and a fall like chill in the air, 70 golfers came out to Wapicada Golf Club to help support the programs and services of United Cerebral Palsy of Central MN.
Special thanks goes out to Asics for their donation of golf shirts for all of the golfers as well as Great Steps O & P and Array Group Services for their generous support. With the help of some great sponsors and volunteers, the day was filled with smiles, prizes and great food.
Congratulations to the First Place team of Lee Moening, Ryan Moening, Joe Mullen, Ed Atkinson and Travis Atkinson. Second Place was taken by Mike Kasner, Jim Pattock, Jeff Lefler, Pete Svhiel and Rob Brenny. To round out the top three, Third Place was filled by Jim Schlenner, Gary Grundman, Keith Laudenbach, Tom Wolke and Joe Dockendorf.
